About Biology
Biology offers Hands-On Experiences
Butler offers you a solid foundation in science. Whether you choose a scientific or medical career, Butler’s biology professors encourage you to find out the “why.” Learn the reason why certain bacterial cultures thrive in your body or how the number of bones decreases from around 270 to 206 as you become an adult. Satisfy your curiosity as you participate in hands-on cadaver dissection, genetics instruction and outdoor classes in wildflower and weed study. You also can work in our lab as a paid assistant.
After you graduate from Butler, take your knowledge with you, and seamlessly transfer to any four-year university in Kansas.
