About Pre-Pharmacy

Help Others Help Themselves

Study pre-pharmacy at Butler and save both time and money. Our highly-trained instructors offer you top-quality science classes for less money than at a four-year college. Butler’s small, hands-on classes give you the depth of knowledge you need to transfer to a pharmacy school.

The Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm.D) requires six years of study. In order to apply to Pharmacy School, you need a two-year degree that meets pre-pharmacy requirements from either a two- or four-year college. Many pharmacy programs require organic chemistry, molecular and cellular biology, human anatomy and physiology, microbiology, physics, calculus and statistics. You need to check out the requirements from the pharmacy program you plan to attend.

Note: A Pre-Pharmacy degree is not a terminal degree.
