Early College Education Academy
Let us help you earn your associate degree while simultaneously earning your high school diploma by spending half a day at your high school and the other half at the EduCare Center Learning Lab on the Butler Community College El Dorado campus taking classes and working in the Lab School. You can prepare yourself for a career in early childhood education and get a jump start on your college career.
Graduates of the Early College Education (ECEA) Academy can:
- Obtain an Early Childhood Education Certificate (30 credits of discipline specific coursework)
- Obtain an Associate of Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education (with a few extra classes taken outside the school day)
- Make immediate contributions in the local workforce
- Gain immediate employment as an early childhood teacher
- Benefit from the 2 + 2 agreement with Southwestern College
- Transfer to a four-year university
