About Agribusiness

Combine Interests: Study Business and Agriculture

Combine your head for numbers with your heart for the farm or ranch, and study the basics of this in-demand career. Whether you want to go into supply chain management, biofuel or commodities trading, agribusiness can get you there. While you learn at Butler’s state-of-the-art agriculture facility, you gain practical experience in grazing management, agricultural supply logistics and animal procurement.

Studying agribusiness introduces you to marketing, economic and financial concepts, which are related to the food, textile and supply industry. You also learn about the risks involved in commodities trading, as well as understanding food system dynamics. After you receive your associate degree you can head into the workforce or easily transfer to an agricultural or business program at a four-year college.
