Gain More Responsibility and Higher Pay

Learn to be an Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) at Butler. After you complete your EMT Certification, you can go one step further and become an AEMT. In this two-semester course, taught sequentially in fall and spring semesters, you learn a higher level of patient care, 20-25 medications and their administration, intravenous and interosseous infusion and full cardiac monitoring interoperation. During the second semester of the course, which is AEMT Field Internship, you log 96 hours of Hospital Clinicals and 250 hours of Field Internship on an ambulance with area EMS services.
