About Political Science
Every government has a political system. When you study political science at Butler, you learn how political principles affect our cities, states and countries. Learn why people vote, or don’t vote – what they think about democracy, socialism, republicanism or communism. By studying politics, you unearth what makes people tick – how they fit in and act within their civic, cultural and economic structures.
When you grasp an understanding of political systems, you learn analytic skills that will help you in your pursuit of a bachelor’s degree. Political science majors can also consider four-year degrees in history, sociology or economics.
