High Touch Technologies honored Butler student Haleigh Wisdom this November with a $5,000 scholarship.

High Touch Technologies took time Friday, Nov. 18, to gather employees into a room to celebrate the current recipient of the High Touch Technologies scholarship. Haleigh Wisdom, Butler Community College student majoring in Digital Media, was named the 2016-17 recipient of a $5000 scholarship that pays out over two semesters.

Wisdom was encouraged to apply by her academic dean and lead faculty member. She competed for the scholarship through an application and interview process that also involved presenting some of her coursework. The selection process was organized by High Touch and the scholarship recipient was selected by High Touch senior management last spring.

A graduate of Goddard High School, Wisdom was also selected to receive a paid internship with the company’s Marketing Department. She was selected for the internship through a completely separate process.

Butler Community College President, Kimberly Krull, Ph.D., thanked High Touch for the tremendous opportunity they create for students.

“We do the classroom stuff. But, the internships are what provide valuable hands-on experiences for our students to learn from professionals in the field,” Krull said. We are so proud of Haleigh and so appreciative to High Touch for their partnership to benefit students.”

“High Touch believes in supporting the young talent of Wichita because of their importance to our community.  Hayleigh was welcomed to the High Touch family and we appreciate her efforts as she continues to grow in her professional development and career,” said Wayne Chambers, CEO of High Touch.

Wisdom was joined by her parents Aaron and Michelle Wisdom and brother Christian for the reception with High Touch employees. She plans to graduate from Butler in May 2017.
