Four Butler Students Place at Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda State Conference
Butler's Phi Beta Lambda chapter qualified for the organization’s National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California.
Four students from Butler Community College’s Future Business Leaders of America - Phi Beta Lambda chapter placed at state and are qualified to compete at the organization’s National Leadership Conference in Anaheim, California this June. Butler participated at the 66 Annual State Conference at Sterling College in early March.
Butler students John Hacker of Ulysses, Kaelib Harp of El Dorado, Phi Long (Sky) Ky of Wichita and Madeline Weaver of Andover received individual awards. Hacker received first place in Cost Accounting and Programming Concepts and third place in Personal Finance. Harp received first place in Justice Administration, second place in Business Communication and Retail Management and third place in Business Ethics. Phi Long (Sky) Ky received second place in Global Analysis & Decision Making and third place in Entrepreneurship Concepts and Management Concepts. Madeline Weaver received third place in Sales Presentation.
Phi Beta Lambda, founded in 1937, is a business student college organization. The goal of the organization is to develop business leadership, strengthen confidence and generate interest and understanding of American business enterprise for the students involved.
